Y4 Waltham Place Farm

Year 4 had the opportunity to visit Waltham Organic Farm. We learnt about how they grow their crops and even got to taste some jam and chutney made from ingredients grown on the farm. We also got to meet all sorts of different animals. Cows, sheep, chickens and pigs. We got to feed them and learn all about how they are reared. An all round great day out!

This week Y4 walked to Battersea Park and found some Blue Plaques on the way. In the park the children created outdoor footprint sculptures using natural materials from the woods. Year 4 visited Waltham Place Farm in Berkshire to learn about organic farming and its benefits. The children were able to examine crops such as raspberries, rhubarb and lettuce, feed the chickens and make bird nests in the woods. We got very wet but it was a great day out!   Continue Reading
