Green for Grenfell

Green for Grenfell

Today we showed our support and solidarity for all those affected by the dreadful fire in Grenfell Tower last week by wearing green and raising £525 for the Red Cross. Whilst none of our children are directly affected there are many families and staff members in our community who are, and who have friends and family who are still missing. Our thoughts are with all of those who lost their lives, family and friends and those who are in hospital. We observed the one minute silence this week along with the rest of the country. Where children have raised issues about the fire this has been handled by staff sensitively and in an age appropriate way. We are here to support all of our school community at all times. If you or any members of your family need any kind of support in the short, medium or long term as a result of being affected by the tragic events at Grenfell Tower please contact the school office as there are many agencies we can access who are working to support the community.

Last Friday you generously donated £260 when we handed out ice lollies to the children. We were not seeking donations but as you insisted we collected money that we have now given to the Grenfell Early years Nursery who have had to relocate and have no resources, they have had to start from scratch.#greenforgrenfell
