mathsAll teachers follow an agreed system of planning. Teachers structure learning experiences which build on prior knowledge and experience, and allow for continuity and progression in learning.

Teachers are aware that children learn in different ways. When planning for learning, teachers take into account those differences by using a range of teaching strategies. Wherever possible, learning is multi-sensory and is made as active as possible to maximise its effectiveness.

Children are given opportunities to develop as independent learners and learn co-operative skills through collaborative learning as well as learning within mixed ability and ability groups.

Classes follow an Explore and Discover theme over a term, to allow for deeper, more meaningful and creative learning to take place.
