Children in Year 5 are given the opportunity to take part in a residential school journey. Through the experience of going on a residential school journey, children develop independence and the self-confidence to tackle new and challenging skills.
In April 2017 Year 5 will be going to Knapp House in Devon, where the school has been taking children for many years. During the five day journey children will take part in a range of outdoor activities. These include climbing, abseiling, surfing, canoeing, ringo riding, crabbing, a coastal walk, and tunnelling as well as initiative type activities. The activities are challenging and fun and all promote team building. On school journey children learn to be independent as well as how to be part of a team and come back having grown up a great deal!
