Last week Year 2 visited St Luke’s Park to carry out a plant investigation as part of our Science learning. Our first task was to identify a range of plants common to Britain; rose, clover, dandelion, daisy, ivy and nettles. Once we had identified them we carried out a survey to see which plant was the most common. We recorded our data in a tally chart. When we got back to school, we showed our results on a pictogram. While we were at the park, we also did an observational drawing of a plant; we had to draw what we could see, not what we thought it should look like! We had a great morning in the park using our knowledge about plants and working scientifically!
