Curriculum overview

The school aims to provide a varied and rich experience of learning for all children across the school which is engaging, meaningful and develops curiosity and creativity.

The school is sharply focused on developing basic skills of literacy (speaking and listening, reading and writing) and numeracy in every class in order that children can then confidently apply these skills in their learning.

The curriculum is divided into 4 areas: core subjects, knowledge of the world, the arts and well being. The Knowledge of the World curriculum is organised into separate subject discipline topics. The curriculum in Nursery and Reception follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
