Marlborough: Leading the way in learning

We are very proud at Marlborough to be a forward thinking and innovative school. This week we have had confirmation that Oxford University Press are publishing our second case study. In the Autumn term, they published a case study about our new assessment strategy. This term, they have published a paper called ‘All About Assessment for Learning (AfL) at Marlborough’. This case study will be used by other schools that are looking to improve AfL in their school. We have also been invited to become a member of the Cambridge Primary Review Trust Schools Alliance. The alliance is made up of schools that show interesting and innovative practice. There are only 6 other London schools in the alliance and we are very honoured to have been invited to join them. This year, Mr Mottershead and Miss Hope are carrying out some action research in participation with The Open University about the new mastery curriculum. We look forward to seeing what conclusions can be drawn. This research will be published for other schools to read.
