Over the past two weeks we have had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas. Foundation Stage entertained us with their re-telling of the Christmas story, Year 1 and 2 also re-told the story of the Nativity which was enjoyed by parents and members of the school community. On Friday 12th December everyone wore their Christmas jumpers to school and we raised £170 for Save the Children. On the same day members of the choir sang at the Royal Borough Christmas Festival in the Town Hall as part of a massed choir of 400 voices. The choir also sang in Peter Jones on 16th December and we were very proud of them. A special mention to the children that sang such beautiful solos. The kitchen staff produced a fantastic and tasty Christmas lunch for the children on 16th December. On 17th December KS2 sang Christmas songs and recited poems and readings for their parents at their concert which was a wonderfully moving occasion. Huge thanks must go to Miss Reimers without whom the high quality singing would not be possible.
