What a fantastic Science Week we have had at Marlborough! The week began with a visit from a time travelling scientist who told us all about what we would be doing during the week. And
what a busy week it was! Every class had the chance to go on a trip to the Science Museum or the Natural History Museum. Some classes attended workshops at the museums while others
were able to simply explore the exhibitions. There were visits from scientists who work at Imperial College; they made periscopes with Year 1, spaghetti towers with Year 4 and extracted
DNA from strawberries with Year 6. The highlight of the week was when all the classes got to swap with each other to carry out experiments. These experiments included making chocolate
rocks, measuring meteor craters and finding the best way to protect falling eggs. All in all, we have had a fun packed week while also learning lots about science!
